workplace givers

Through the Turi Trust, employees can engage in regular fundraising opportunities, donate through a workplace giving program and take advantage of their two days paid leave per year to be used for volunteering. The company matches the employees’ efforts by dollar matching their contributions.

Turi Foods employees engage in a number of fundraising activities throughout any given year.

Activities range from weekly barbecues, raffles and site specific activities. The Turi Trust hosts two major fundraisers, the annual corporate golf tournament and a gala ball which is held every second year. These signature fundraising events are well received within the community and among our business partners.

The regular fundraising efforts of our employees are matched dollar for dollar by Turi foods. We encourage our staff to look for innovative ways of raising funds, which can be fun, and which focus on the inclusion of the majority of our workforce.

Workplace giving is a simple and effective way for employees to regularly donate to charities or organisations.

Employees may elect to have an agreed amount deducted from their pay. They can chose to direct their donation to a particular charity or to add their donation to the Turi Trust.  Deductions directed to the Turi Trust are dollar matched by the company.

Currently, a quarter of the Turi Foods workplace are regular workplace givers.

Funds raised through the workplace giving program are distributed in one of two ways:

1. The nominated amount is passed onto the charity of employee’s choice on their behalf.
2. The nominated amount is directed to the Turi Trust where it is dollar matched and a larger donation is made to one of the nominated children’s charities.

Meet Jacqueline

Jacqueline is the newest member of the Turi Trust Committee. She represents the ideals of the trust by being an enthusiastic participant in programs such as workplace giving and the volunteer program.

Jacqueline comes from a family of givers. She frequently travels back to her hometown community in the Philippines with her extended family to ‘give back’; helping local orphanages by ensuring children are fed and cared for.

Meet Our Team

Teamwork is the ability to work together towards a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organisational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. Andrew Carnegie

Our work involves mentoring young people with Autism to live life with an ‘I CAN’ attitude and influencing all generations to enable, not label people with Autism. Read more…
